Well I just up and went, and I want to say I can't believe how similar to the east coat it is, well Boston; you know the trains, no parking, fashion, etc. It's such a beautiful city.

At first when I used to see her on the VS fashion show I used to think ehh just another pretty black girl on the run way, but then just randomly going through the internet I ran across a video of her on youtube and of course being the curious being that I am, I did my lil investigation on her. She is such an inspiring individual added to her being so flawless, extremely hardworking and just very selfless.
She inspired me to believe that you can do anything put your mind into at any time in your life, she graduated magna cum laude from college with a degree in psychology and paved her way to the United States to make a name for herself because modeling was where her heart was.

Although this dress was sent to me, I will definitely pay for it with my own money it is so worth it.
Rita Ora Body on me music video inspired Makeup
Hey guys if you saw my post on this outfit I am wearing here, my makeup was actually inspired by Rita Ora's recent music video with Chris Brown, Body on me. I didn't really like the video to be honest but I loved her make up especially her lippy it reminded me of the kinda lippy I'd wear to a gatsby themed party, so I decided to recreate it and of course do my own spin on it.
DISCOVERING NYLO BAR IN DALLAS
On Monday one of my sisters (friend$ that become fam) and I were on a mission to discover new bars around where we lived. We ended up at this bar in Dallas called Nilo, were we got some food, had a few drankss and caught up on girl talk since she had been working a lot and I barley get to see her. I had such a good time as always with her and our food was soo tasteful.
My outfit is almost 100% from the thrift store here in Dallas. When I saw that shirt I knew I had to have it not because I care about Maroon 5 as a group but because I loveeee Adam Levine he's so sexy to me...ughh he's just yum! lol ok moving on my waist coat was also from the thrift store, and finally my pants from Zara which I got a very long time ago.

This past weekend my friends and I went to the beach to kind of lounge and for me ease off all the stress from school. It was such a good time and the water was sooo blue. It was my first time going to the beach at sunset and it was absolutely beautiful.

Rosegold x Lashes + YT video
Hey loves I hope you are having a great week so far! I did another make up look with the new Sephora pallete which you can find here . It has the most beautiful colors I have seen in a while in any palette and the colors are so highly pigmented. Also I switched up my lashes and I now wear the House of Lashes - Iconics. They are absolutely beautiful, look natural and feel very light.

Dealing with self acceptance...My story!
I haven't ever done this but I just felt it in my heart to do this post. I hope it helps one or 2 people out there. Around when I was 7, I started to feel out of place; you know like I didn't belong or to be honest that I just wasn't good looking enough to be liked by people. My little sister used to always get all the attention. Every party we went to, every social gathering we had, people would always throw it in my face that I was the ugly one of the two. Then came age 9 when I broke my front tooth from slipping in water, I started to feel even more insecure in myself and absolutely hated myself.; and the comparison to my sister seemed to never end.
Fast-foward to age 13 when this boy....uhh lets just call him M liked me. It was such a weird feeling I had. He was my friend up until he uttered those 3 terryifing word "I like you" I started to avoid him like he was the scum of the earth. This was all my insecurities kicking in. He was such a good guy to me but after all the years of resentment from people I just couldn't wrap my head around the thought of someone liking me. I thought to myself there are so many pretty girls for you to have your eyes on, why don't you like them? ...Anyway, my relationship with M became strained and we never got to date...this very easily became the story of my life.

Its been a while I did a favorites blog post. And I just realized how much I missed doing it. This perfumes are all amazing but if I had to pick my absolute fav it would be the DKNY one which was gifted to me by a friend on my birthday. The MJ one is pretty good too. I would describe the smells but I suck at describing smells...lol but I will say it is very floral without being over the top. Its that perfect floral scent. O Bath and Body works is having a semi annual blow out sale, were everything in the store is up to 75% off. So if I were you I would be running there now...haha btw has anyone tried the Tom Ford Black Orchid perfume? I heard its amazing, and i'm thinking of getting it.
O and that book on my kindle is a must read. If my last interview with Eveliz hasn't shown you how to be a girl boss. YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!! It's so inspiring on every level. If you know me you know I never finish a book, but I just couldn't put this book down. O and did I mention she is the CEO of Nasty Gal? ...thank me later

04/24/15 Meeting AdannaDavid + Photoshoot at the Boston Public Garden
Hey guys! I know I have been kinda MIA on this blog but I promise you guys its not on purpose. I have had to move into to my new place over the past couple of weeks, as well as get settled into school. I am still settling in and trying to see how I can juggle blogging and keeping up with school work as the summer semester is super short. But I promise I will be back on track ASAP.
Without further due, I had the pleasure of meeting up with the lovely adannadavid you guys might know them from youtube. You can visit their youtube channel (here). They announced on their IG that they would be having a meet and greet in Boston and I knew I just had to be there. They were such a humble and down to earth couple and David is just the sweetest guy. Their positivity was so infectious and I am so grateful I got to meet them. It was just so nice to be around like minded people.

James Kessinger - The Blind Artist. Must read!
Hey guys I am so excited and thankful to Grow Influence for giving me the opportunity to work on the James Kessinger project. I was chosen as the winner of the project, and I am excited not only because it is for a good cause but because I feel it will be very inspirational and beneficial to my readers. Before I go into the project I will give you guys a brief history on James.
How many people can say they still pursued their life long
dream after facing a huge obstacle such as loosing your sight, and still be
successful at it. That my friends’ is the story of James Kessinger. James a
modern artist and a native of Kentucky lost his sight at 32 in 1978 after the
onset of Macular degeneration (a medical condition that usually affects older
adults and results in a loss of vision in the center of the visual field (the macula) because of damage
to the retina).1
As this may seem like a “be all end all” for some people. It
was not for James. He fought even harder to make his dreams a reality. The year
1976 was when James was diagnosed with macular degeneration.2 Over
the next several years, his vision continued to deteriorate, and in 1979, he
sold WK Products.2 Shortly thereafter, he became general manager of
the packaging division of Belknap Inc. in Ocoee, FL.2 While with
Belknap, he created, in Orlando, FL, Line Associates, a design and marketing
company with emphasis in retail display.2 Line served customers such
as Hawaiian Tropic, Proctor & Gamble, L’eggs, the National Foot ball
League, Cheerleaders, as well as many entertainment and sports celebrities. He had many more achievements to come over the years.
