FENTY BEAUTY by Rihanna

As the year comes to an end I had to make a post about my absolute favorite beauty collection that debuted this year. If you have been following me for a while you know my love for Rihanna is real, so that love easily transcended unto her beauty products when she launched Fenty Beauty.  First of all, let me just say my sis collection is "diversity done right". Her line is seriously what women of color like me have been yearning for, for years. 

The line is so well thought out and put together it makes me so proud. Like many of you, I did go out to Sephora to purchase and swatch all the products, but of course, as expected, many at times they were all sold out to return in weeks if at all you were able to get your hands on them when it did come back.

THE FOUNDATION

 My shade in the foundation is 420, and it is a more of a medium coverage foundation. It is intended to enhance your natural skin color so it does go on very lightly. They do oxidize very easily so I'd advise you take home a few swatches with you and then make a decision later because I initially thought my shade was 430.  What's yo shade sis??

There are over 40 different shades, and I love that the foundation has different tones to them, red, blue, yellow, warm, and cool. It is seriously very hard not to find your match. It is also very matte, so if you have the combo-oily skin you'll love it.

CONS
The only thing I will say about the formula is that it dries on too quickly so you literally have to start blending as soon as you apply it. Also, it gets very drippy and I personally do not like my foundation to move around a lot because it can cause your outfit to get stained.

MATCHSTIX AND HIGHLIGHTERS

At first, I was confused at what the Matchstix were. I mean I knew they weren't contour sticks but I still wasn't sure what they were until I watched a few youtube reviews, and I said that's genius for her to put highlighters into sticks and even better they have a magnet that holds them together making it hard to lose, nobody else does that.

 

I know Trophy Wife was everyone's favorite but I actually fell in love with Ginger binge and Moscow Mule highlighter duo.

FENTY GALAXY COLLECTION

This collection dropped about 2-3 months ago and was an introduction to her holiday collection. Although I didn't really get into this collection, I loved all the reviews I saw online, but I don't think all the shimmer which was primarily in this collection would have worked on my skin tone. P.S I love how the packing matches her personality so much. #packaginggoals

FENTY MATTEMOISELLE LIPSTICKS

Her latest collection and I am absolutely in love with it. If you're a true Rihanna Navy, I know you have been waiting for her to drop a line of lipsticks and o she didn't disappoint. She dropped 14 shades which is advertised as "light-as-air" "think mega rich color minus the weight" (via fentybeauty.com) The lipsticks are entirely matte and o so vibrant, but I actually think I am more in love with the naming of the lipsticks, her play on words is brilliant! My favorites are Ma'Damn, Shawty, Clapback, One of the Boyz, Up to no good, S1ngle, PMS, YaDig! Haha
