What is your name?
Bethel Francis.

How old are you?
I turned 23 in February.

Are you in school, If yes, (What school do you go to?)
Not at the moment, I'm done with my Undergraduate studies (Bsc Geology). I'm hoping to get into business school.

What do you do for a living?
I'm an Entrepreneur.
What is your dream career/ job?
My dream is to be the best Recording Artist, Songwriter out there.

You are definitely on your way there.

Tell us something no one really knows about you. (ie embarassing moments, favorite food, silly obsessions)
I have a thing for girls with beautiful voices.

Hahaa!! no surprises there.

Now that we have gotten these personal questions out the way, my blog readers and I would like to know more about your music.

Leggo!!!

What does music mean to you?
It means everything to me, it's like a legal drug sent from God to take my stress away. But it really should be illegal with how happy and excited it makes me…lol.. Whenever I'm down, music lifts my spirit up also when I feel good I get inspired to make great songs so it means a lot to me.

Lol.… well I’m glad it is legal.

What first drew you to it?
It was during high school, I listened to a lot of Hip-Hop records. Naturally, after a while I decided to come up with my own material since then I have been growing and learning new things.

How did you get into the business?
I did by setting personal goals for myself, praying and working and networking with highly ambitious people.

I like that you mentioned prayer and networking, it is definitely very important in the entertainment field.  People seem to forget that.

What difficulties did you encounter when you first started?
1st thing was working with people with low self-esteem, that’s the worst that can happen to anyone, there will be no growth in your career another. Another thing was "lack of funds", but I kept praying and hoping for things to get better, and it did.

Describe your musical style ?
It's a new brand, I don't think there is anyone out there that sound like me (not to be boastful) and so if I'm to describe it i'll say my style is all about bringing more soul to Hip-Hop.

Wow I like that sounds like something very exciting and different.

What is your taste in music?
I love most genres like rock, r&b, soul, jazz, afro beats etc. As long as it's good to the ears, and easy to listen to, I'm good.

Was this always your dream?
Yes for the most part of my life, I just want to keep getting bigger, better, and stay relevant in the game.

Did your parents support your career choice?
I would say No for now but I'm all about making them proud in everything I do, They might not approve it now but when God's plan for me manifests, I tell you they'll love it.

O I feel you on that one. Watch when you make it big they will be the main one’s screaming on top of their lungs at award shows, saying they always knew you were born for this. lol

Who inspires you in the industry ?
Kanye West. He is my main inspiration.

Yes! I love Kanye’s music, he is very unique and true to himself.

Who are your all time favorite artists and how do they influence you?
Drake, Eminem, Nas, Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Kanye West, Jay Z, 50 Cent, The Weeknd, Big Sean. e.t.c Their Stories are my inspiration, when I hear stories about when they started and how they started I get motivated.

Does your culture play a role in your music?
Yeah it does, the music made by my culture is easy to listen to, and that has helped me a long way.

What keeps you motivated?
God, if not for God, I would've been done with music a long time ago.

Among your works, which one is your favorite? Why?
I don't really have a favorite one because they all each mean something to me but I'll say "Go Hard" is my biggest record so far.

Who do you hope to inspire with your work?
Teenagers and young adults mostly. I want the youth to remain more positive and work hard for a better future.

Very nice!

If music was non existent what else would you be doing?
I don't know lol. I'll say business.

Kai! Lol Afircan Man

What are the first steps to take when thinking about going into music?
Be sure it's for you, that is the way your personality shows in your art.

Does social media help your career at all?
Yeah it does, the fact that I can post up new music here in Canada and someone in another part of the world would enjoy it, is very great.

What advice do you have for anyone who wants to go into music?
Stay true to yourself, work hard and try to network with the right people also prayers, it goes a long way.

Yes my motto in life is “Grind hard and pray” you’’ll never go wrong
