Last weekend me and a couple of my friends went all the way to Connecticut to an all white party (the distance Nigerians will travel for owambe...smh ); but I had a really good time sha, even met one fine bobo, so I can say it was worth the 2 hour drive. My dress is from misguided ( I got it a while back), my shoes are by Micheal Antonio which I purchased from DSW for just $23, I just could't pass it up. My necklace is from Jcrew which I also got for less than 20 bucks...chai, what a steal. Speaking of Jcrew I'm really loving that store, and mad i'm just now finding out about it.

Arbre du Ténéré

Ndewo! This is my outfit from Tuesday. I was going to post more photos with different outfits but of course my camera died on me, so I was only able to take photos with this beautiful long black dress I purchased online from Asos early this year. I hope you like. xx

I thought I should introduce myself to my blog readers and talk about what my blog will mostly consist of.  I'm April Ifunanya.  I'm 22 years young, 100% Nigerian (Igbo). Grew up in a small town called Aba (Enyimba city), in Abia state Nigeria (if you're Nigerian you'll know where i'm talking about). I come from a family of 5, me being the 2nd child. I finished high school in Nigeria in 2009 and moved to the United States for college. I finished college in Texas in 2013 and have since moved to Boston, MA for my doctorate degree. I am currently on my summer vacation and decided why not start blogging. Blogging has always been something that I've always been interested in doing but I always thought the whole process was too complicated, and to be quite honest I was too lazy to even put in the work. But here and I am, and it's only upwards from here on out. This blog will circumference heavily on young talent in Nigeria. It's an idea I have  nurtured in my little mind for quite sometime now. It doesn't matter if you live in Nigeria or not,  or if you're half Nigerian (p.s I am open to other African countries), as far as Naija dey inside and you have something fun, inspiring and organic to offer I would like to feature you on this blog, so feel free to contact me on any of my social networks. I'm thinking the age range would be from 18-35. Also on this blog, expect to see things that I love to do like getting dressed up, travelling, books I am currently reading, and any make up products that I love to use. That will be it for now, I will be updating this as much as I can as I go through my life journey.

GINKGO

Today was a good day I was off work today and was able to get somethings accomplished. So I am quite proud of myself. I wanted to make sure I uploaded something on here, if not I would feel guilty that I had so much free time and didn't update my blog. This was what I wore today. (Sorry my camera was acting up so I wasn't able to get the full outfit). But I wanted the focus to be on my make up today. I actually spent time to do it..hehe. Hopefully by Thursday I will be uploading some of the makeup products I use.

New Read: Finding inner Courage by Mark Nepo

Super excited about this new read. It is a motivational book by Mark Nepo. It was gifted to me by a friend about two months ago at a time when I was going through really difficult times. I've actually been lazy to open it up and indulge..haha.. but now that I'm blogging it I feel like I have to, and I can't wait to share with you guys what I find.
