How to Shop Spring Fashion on a Budget

Spring o Spring my favorite time of the year! I'm sure by now we have all been fully immersed in Spring fashion. It's no secret that bright colors such as pink, yellows, and lilacs are dominating this season. The pressure is on to up your closet into #instagram closet goals aka splurge on our fave bloggers designers items. But honey, if you're a fashionista on a budget like me I will tell you ways to save yourself some money but still look fashionable this spring.

1. PULL OUT YOUR FAVORITE SNEAKERS

Don't be so quick to go shopping. Go into your closet and pull out all your favorite sneakers from past seasons. You will be surprised at your finds. I was surprised I still had my Chuck Taylor High-tops that I purchased about 4 years ago. Pair them with a skirt or cropped pants like I have, and a light sweater and boom you look super cute on a budget.

2. DITCH DESIGNER ITEMS FOR DUPES

Balenciaga and Chanel have taken the sneaker world by storm this season with their chunky really stylish sneakers, and bloggers are going crazy dropping serious coins on them. I'm not gonna lie if I had the loose change I would do the same, but I tell you that stores like Zara and H&M have the same exact dupes for these shoes, the resemblance is quite uncanny.

3. REPEAT OLD CLOTHING

Nothing wrong with repetition! Who says you cant dig into your fall closet and tailor them to your spring closet? You'd be surprised how many of your fall items also work for Spring. Like I said earlier, don't be in a hurry to toss your fall items into that huge suitcase in your garage. Relax, sit down, maybe even put on a movie so you don't get bored and carefully pick out items that will work for both seasons.

4. BUY A FEW STAPLE PIECES

Finally, now that you have a blueprint for your spring closet, carefully make a budget and write down all the items that might still be missing in your sping-must have list and invest in only those pieces. Be honest with yourself and don't trick yourself into thinking you need extra jeans when you already have 2 or 3 picked out. Remeber the goal here is to Save Save Save!!!

There you have it. I hope this post was helpful and hopefully helped you save a buck or two. Comment below and share what your secrets are for shopping on a budget this Spring?

  4. I love your top! And it's true, Converse are my go-to shoes I constantly pull out over the years! :) I really like your tips too - it's good to know what you have before you go buying new things!

Hope you are having a great weekend :) We are having the perfect weather - warm and sunny in the morning, then cooler in the afternoon and evenings when the storms roll in. We spent time by the pool yesterday!

    1. Thanks Mica! Converse are an absolute staple. And aw i'm jelous I wish we had even decent weather here. I like to describe Texas weather as very bi-polar. Gloomy in the morning, sunny during the day, and rainy at night. So bizzare. Can't even make it to the pool with such unpredictable weather.
